The
Resonance
Flow
Lamp System includes a EUV VUV flow lamp, coupling
optic, EUV Monochromator/differential pumping chamber, 36 inch flexible
hose and turbo pumping station. The
monochromator also acts as a spectral filter for the EUV from the flow
lamp in first order, or as a relay mirror in zero order.
Utilizing this system with Helium, Neon and Argon
produces resonance lines at 58, ~70, 104 and 106nm.
Using air as the excitation gas provides a large
number of additional lines in the 100 to 200nm region.
The flow lamp on the left employs a folding optic. This optic reduces the free radical flux into
the monochromator (which can damage the grating) while concentrating
the light from the flow lamp onto the entrance slit.
