Optic cable consists of a UV-VIS or IR fibre core
with a stainless steel jacket. The fibre
core consists of a Polyimide jacket, Doped Fused Silica cladding and a
Pure Fused Silica inner core. The steel jacket protects the fibre core
from damage in rugged terrain and blocks 100% of ambient light. Bright, neon wrapping is also available for
high visibility in field use.

UV Flux Monitor

has
developed
a fibre optic coupled UV flux monitor which has been
primarily used in waste water treatment UV systems. The monitor uses a
solar blind CsTe diode to monitor UV flux at 254nm. The fibre optic
cable is terminated in a hermetically sealed probe which allows uniform
underwater UV flux measurements.
